Venous Reflux Ultrasound in Vancouver Varicose Vein Assessment
Leg heaviness, aching, swelling, or visible varicose veins may be signs of venous insufficiency — a condition where blood does not flow properly through the veins. A venous reflux ultrasound in Vancouver evaluates how well the leg veins are functioning and helps identify valve dysfunction and backward blood flow (reflux). This is a safe, non-invasive exam that uses sound waves and does not involve radiation.
What This Ultrasound Evaluates
- Superficial and deep veins of the legs
- Valve function within the veins
- Presence of venous reflux (backward blood flow)
- Vein dilation and structure
- Blood flow patterns using Doppler imaging
